The Central
American Racing Championship isn't your typical PWC event. Just
ask the racers who put their Sea-Doo watercraft to the test in the
shodow of an active volcano just outside Guatemala City. And found
themselves wondering whether the rhythmic thump thump thumping they
heard was their hearts, or floating lave rocks pelting the hull.
(It was both.) Of course, with 215 horses at full throttle, it was
hard to care. When asked later to give a shout out to the crowd,
the competitors realized that goats and chickens give it up for
a good race as much as actual fans.
